Biography

Valerie Lipman

Valerie Lipman has worked on older people's issues for over twenty years.  Roles have included Director of Pensioners Link, being a community worker with older people, and heading up the Research & Development Unit of Age Concern England. She has a particular focus on promoting rights and equalities with and for older people.  For the last three years Valerie has been a freelance consultant during which she was a Visiting Fellow at Bristol University for a year and has been working with OPP.  Valerie has just started a PhD the Centre for Research on Ageing at Southampton University on the role of older people in international development.
